Trust, Consistency and Specialization
Many of the issues concerning success in school revolve around developing good study habits and expectations regarding homework. Tutors can play a major role in providing the encouragement, environment, and materials necessary for successful studying to take place.
Our tutors are trained in learning modalities (some students learning by doing, some by seeing, some by hearing and most by some combination of all the modalities), grade appropriate content and challenges, and positive learning habits. Our tutors are adept at developing a firm and reassuring relationship with the student. Our first priority is the trust of the student as well as the parents involved. We assign the same tutor for the duration of the student’s studies so the student feels comfortable and develops the kind of confidence that is possible only in a consistent environment. Our tutors are qualified to handle special needs, specific content and study habit challenges. We have bilingual tutors to meet the needs of students and parents who speak English as a second language. Our tutors are very carefully matched to the student to gain the greatest benefit from one on one teaching.
